Art for a Cure

Knowledge is gained, treatments are developed, and hope is renewed thanks to the tireless efforts of organizations like Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center. They have devoted more than 130 years to exceptional patient care, research, and educational programs.

The fight against cancer is a worthy one. We’re proud to join Sloan Kettering in the fight.

We comissioned two American artists to create limited edition works inspired by the themes of optimism, strength, and love. These stunning giclées on canvas are hand embellished, signed by the artist, and framed by hand in our New Jersey studio.

Through June 30, 2017, 30% of the purchase price of each print will benefit Sloan Kettering. At the fundraiser’s end, the original oil paintings will be auctioned off, and the proceeds from that sale will go to Sloan Kettering, too.

VITALITY
Vitality is a giclée on canvas that is vivid, spirited, effervescent, bold, bright, and even a little giddy. Artist John Shelton expresses joy and freedom in strong, saturated colors to quicken the heart and bring a smile to any face. The original is oil on canvas, with heavy paint buildup adding texture and plays of light. This giclée on canvas has also been augmented by the artist; slight variations from the artist’s brushwork make each piece unique.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
John Shelton’s first creative influences came from the landscape of the American Southwest where he was raised. He was educated in fine art at Arizona State University and completed further coursework in painting and other techniques in California. Mr. Shelton’s passion for travel feeds his creative process; Thailand, Florence, Vienna, Prague, and the Amalfi Coast are some of his favorite retreats. His complex layering of paint with other media builds fantastic worlds that balance antiquity and modernism.

LEGACY
Legacy is a giclée on canvas with an ethereal composition and vaporous, celestial appeal that is grounded with great strength. Inspired by the optimism that love is life, Artist Dennis Gastone created this moving abstract, imbuing it with peacefulness and power. The original is oil on canvas, with heavy paint buildup adding texture and plays of light. This giclée on canvas has also been augmented by the artist; slight variations from the artist’s brushwork make each piece unique.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dennis Gastone was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and spent his childhood surrounded by the desert landscape. He received his MFA in Advertising Art from the University of Texas. A master of thoughtful color gradations, Mr. Gastone skillfully combines vibrant imagery with exciting surface textures to create an impression of timeless beauty with a distinctively modern touch.
