Meet Ally Fountain, our Featured Designer of the month! Ally is one of the talented designers at our Bellevue, Washington, Design Center. We caught up with her recently to ask a few questions about her work.

Do you have a favorite Ethan Allen project?
I love all my projects, but my favorite so far is the Newcastle living and dining room. My clients were extremely happy with the design and we are getting started on their master bedroom next!

What Ethan Allen item do you currently covet?
The Tulu Trellis Rug in natural/black. I love how the pattern works with so many styles and have used it in many projects. This neutral rug is perfect for anyone who likes to change out pillows and accents throughout the year.

Complete this sentence: Every room needs…
Layers. I cannot express this enough. I like to work from the ground up, starting with the area rug, then the furnishings, pillows, drapery, and, finally, accents. Layers tell the story of how a space will feel.

What color can’t you live without?
The color white goes with everything and adds freshness to any space.
